Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most: orders, shipping, returns and warranty, plus wet palettes, brush care, terrain and the rank system.

01 Are you taking orders, and how do I pay?

Our store has been open for orders since 7 October 2026. In-stock items usually ship within 1–3 business days; payment is taken by card through iyzico with 3D Secure. We never see or store your card details.

02 What is Terminal Wargaming?

Terminal Wargaming is a miniature painting and wargaming brand based in Bursa, Turkey. It offers wet palettes, dry palettes, painting handles, paint racks, brush cleaning soap, an inch movement ruler and terrain pieces, takes custom painting and 3D printing orders, and publishes free painting guides. It also runs painting workshops and game nights.

03 Are you affiliated with Wargaming.net or World of Tanks?

No. Terminal Wargaming has no affiliation with Wargaming.net, World of Tanks or the game Terminal War. The word wargaming in our name refers to tabletop war games played with miniatures.

04 How long does shipping take, and where do you ship?

In-stock items usually ship within 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed and typically arrive within 1–4 business days, depending on the region. We only ship to addresses in Türkiye. The shipping fee is shown in the order summary at checkout; your tracking number is sent by e-mail or on-site notification, and you can follow the order under Orders in your account.

05 How long do I have to return an item, and who pays for return shipping?

Returns are accepted for a total of 30 days from delivery; the first 14 days are your statutory right of withdrawal. Return shipping with our contracted carrier is on us. Made-to-order items (custom orders) cannot be returned. Opened Brush Cleaner Soap can be returned too. Full details are on our Return and Exchange Policy page.

06 Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes. Free replacement within 2 years for manufacturing defects. Print or cutting faults, parts that arrive broken or cracked, missing parts and parts that do not fit together count as manufacturing defects, and we pay the shipping for the replacement. Damage caused by the user, high heat, normal wear and consumable parts (the wet palette sponge and parchment paper, handle rubber bands, brush cleaner soap) are not covered. Full details are on our Warranty Terms page.

07 Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Up to 9 instalments on participating cards; the instalment options available for your card are shown at checkout.

08 What is a wet palette and what is it for?

A wet palette is a paint palette with a damp sponge underneath and a water-permeable paper on top. It keeps acrylic paint from drying for hours, so the consistency stays stable, layers go on smoother and less paint is wasted. It is one of the first tools commonly recommended to new miniature painters.

09 What does a beginner miniature painter need?

To start, a few synthetic brushes, acrylic paints, a primer and a wet palette to keep the paint workable are enough. Brush cleaning soap helps your brushes last, and a painting handle lets you paint without touching the figure. The Terminal Wargaming Painting Starter Set contains a wet palette, a dry palette, an adjustable painting handle, a paint rack and brush cleaner soap; brushes, paints and primer are not included.

10 Why is brush soap necessary?

Brush soap dissolves acrylic paint that has dried between the bristles and brings a splayed tip back into shape. Used regularly, it extends the life of synthetic and natural-hair brushes. Cleaning your brush with soap after every session is the most skipped, and the cheapest, maintenance step in miniature painting.

11 What counts as terrain?

Terrain is the set of pieces that build trenches, obstacles and crossings on the game table. The Terminal Wargaming terrain range includes a Czech hedgehog, a long Czech hedgehog, a sandbag set, barbed wire, a barrel set, a bridge, ladders and tetrapod wave breakers. You can paint the pieces to your own colour scheme. Well-placed terrain visibly improves both the game and the look of the table.

12 What is SLA (resin) printing and how does it differ from FDM?

SLA is a 3D printing method that cures liquid resin layer by layer with UV light. Compared with filament-based FDM printing it gives far higher detail and a smoother surface, which is why it is preferred for miniatures and finely detailed parts. Once washed and cured, prints are ready to be primed and painted. You can request resin 3D printing through our custom order form.

13 What do I need for Trench Crusade or similar games?

Games with a First World War feel such as Trench Crusade call for miniatures plus brushes, dark-toned acrylics, washes, a wet palette and trench terrain (sandbags, barbed wire, barrels). Terminal Wargaming offers a wet palette, painting handles and trench terrain such as the sandbag set, barbed wire and barrel set, and hosts game nights for these games.

14 How does the rank and service-record system work?

Every registered member gets a permanent service number and starts at the Recruit rank. You earn points through purchases, product reviews, content and events; as you pass point thresholds your rank rises and unlocks a permanent discount of 5% to 15%. Points are never spent; they only set your rank. Full details are on the Rank System page.
